Agia Sophia Academy is an Orthodox Christian Classical school located in between NE Portland's Laurelhurst and Kerns neighborhoods.
Our school provides education of the mind, body, and soul, according to the Tradition of the Orthodox Christian Faith and the ideals of Classical Wisdom.

ASA's Montessori Early Childhood Education Program
Beginning in September we are offering a new Montessori-style Early Childhood Education program for ages 3-6, that is sure to be a success. What is this program all about? Montessori is a method of education developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900’s. Montessori programs are found world-wide, spanning six continents and becoming extremely popular in the U.S. in the last 50 years. It is founded on the scientific observation of children’s learning processes; teaching abstract concepts in a concrete way through the five senses.
